Don't Stop Believing debuted at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it achieved sold out audiences, and was extended for a run of 31 shows. The show was recently awarded “Best Musical” at the 2024 Tucson Fringe Festival.
“Don’t Stop Believing” was first written in response to a weekly open mic suggestion at Pittsburgh’s AcoustiCafe series at Mr. Small’s Funhouse. Now an award-winning show in the middle of a 9-city international tour, Torrey Shine is delighted to bring her solo show back to the city of Pittsburgh – where it was first created.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Torrey Shine is a free spirit with an analytical mind. Her writing and performance art blend poetry, storytelling, comedy, music, and improv – engaging the audience through a mix of rhythm, rhyme, wordplay, wit, body movement, humor, and soul.

Torrey is a 3-time Moth StorySLAM Champ, National Storytelling Network GrandSLAM Finalist, and two-time (undefeated) winner of the Jam Cruise Gong Show. She has featured at the UK Glastonbury Festival (twice), and recently featured on the PBS GBH World Channel series “Stories from the Stage.”

This “Spirit of the Fringe” winner (2022 Pittsburgh Fringe Festival) has represented Pittsburgh at the National Poetry Slam, and was nominated “Best Poet” by the Pittsburgh City Paper Readers’ Poll three different times. Torrey's original series “Mashed POET-atoes” (Steel City Improv Theater) was also nominated by readers as “Best Stage Production” two years in a row - and was awarded "Best of Fest" at Camp Improv Utopia - East in 2022.
