WHO WE NEED
Adults 18+
Any gender, any ethnicity
ROLES
Protestors (bring your own signs – real or funny/satirical)
Police officers (beating protestors) → wear black button-up shirts
Park patrons (casual clothing)
SCENES & LOCATIONS
Scene 1: Protest
When: 11:40 AM – 12:00 PM
Where: Behind the Jacksonville Courthouse (415 Clay Street)
Details: Non-specific protest. Protestors may bring any sign (serious or humorous). Scene depicts Councilman Onyx Cortez running away once things turn violent.
Scene 2: Park Incident
When: 12:40 PM – 2:40 PM
Where: James Weldon Johnson Park (135 W Monroe Street)
Details: Park patrons witness a man die from a heart attack, react in shock/horror. Government agents arrive and make everyone “disappear” (extras freeze, then exit quickly for editing effect).
WARDROBE NOTES
Protestors & park patrons: casual clothing.
Police officers: black button-up shirts.
Do NOT wear blue, yellow, or red.
If attending both scenes, bring an extra shirt to change your look.
