Join us for “Don’t Pass on Your Heart Health: Real Stories. Real Talk. Real Impact.” Saturday, October 24, at 2 p.m. at AIM–Art in Motion, Real Stories. Real Talk. Recognizing ATTR-CM.
ATTR-CM is a serious heart condition that can be mistaken for other illnesses because many people don’t recognize its signs. One inherited form is more common among people of African ancestry, making awareness especially important.
Enjoy a film featuring Doug E. Fresh, followed by a conversation with heart specialists and community advocates. Come learn, ask questions, and share this invitation with your community!
The program will feature:
- A former professional basketball player and heart transplant recipient
- A hip-hop icon, health advocate, and co-founder of Hip Hop Public Health
- An R&B singer and heart transplant recipient
- A special film screening featuring real stories and real lives, made possible by BridgeBio
- Health education, community resources, and opportunities to connect with local organizations
