Hi all! Just nailed down a date to celebrate my new release! I hope you'll come - we'll have a reading & Q&A at Cosmic, and there will be more details to come, but I just wanted to let you know so you can save the date! This book is the one I've been talking about which has most of the poems about relationships, real or imagined, which I wrote during my 15 or so years of adult singleness prior to meeting/ marrying my darling Tommy (apart from *ahem* my 2 breakup books related to the broken engagement, of course, which you may be familiar with).
The poems are organized into seasons rather than chronologically - the better to protect the anonymity of anyone either fortunate or unfortunate enough to have dated me during said years. Thus, Spring - poems written when I was more looking forward, maybe dating, but not in a relationship; Summer - poems written when I was in a relationship; Fall - poems written while in a relationship falling apart; and Winter - poems written when love seemed pretty far behind me and another spring unlikely to come. The awkwardness of me pretty much 'reading my journal' to you with all my soon-now-not-so-secret thoughts about looking forward to, being in, losing, or living in the memory of love hopefully will bond us all a little closer.
