Don't Burn Your Cake: High Performance Without Self-Destruction

This full-day interactive training moves beyond awareness into sustained application. The experience provides space to slow down, reflect, and build practical strategies for navigating emotionally demanding work without sacrificing well-being or effectiveness.

Participants will explore burnout not as a personal failure, but as a predictable response to prolonged pressure, emotional labor, and systemic demands. Through guided reflection, facilitated discussion, and hands-on exercises rooted in the CAKE Method, participants leave with clarity, tools, and a personalized reset plan they can realistically implement.

By the end of this full-day training, participants will be able to:

• Identify personal, role-based, and organizational contributors to burnout in child welfare work and social work.

• Recognize early warning signs of burnout, compassion fatigue, and emotional overload.

• Apply the Don't Burn Your Caked framework to establish healthier boundaries and expectations.
