A Day of Colour with Siri France
Working with colour is so appealing, but can sometimes be overwhelming - where do you start? How about starting with this one day workshop!
We’ll spend a whole day looking at colour mixing. Topics covered will include:
- Creating a colour wheel
- Primary and secondary colours
- Warm and cool colours
- Complementaries and greys
- Limited palette
Students will do a lot of mixing colour and experimenting to find colours of their own, using just the primary colours and black and white. By the end of the day you will have nailed how to mix your favourite colour!
To assist and inspire us, we’ll look at colour compositions by a variety of artists including Paul Klee, Giorgio Morandi and others. We will also create small colour compositions to look at the relationship between different colours.
All materials and refreshments morning and afternoon are provided and customers are welcome to bring a packed lunch for the short lunch break. Alternatively there are excellent local shops and cafes close by.
