Guided by the incredibly skilled pottery artist Liz Thiessen, you’ll learn how to design and build your very own handcrafted slab mug that’s both functional and uniquely YOU.
Whether you’re brand new to clay or a seasoned creator, this hands-on workshop promises a fun, creative experience — plus a beautiful mug to take home and enjoy for years to come!

🌟 Workshop Highlights:
🍶 Session One – Handcrafted Slab Mug: During the initial workshop, you’ll receive 750 grams of premium pottery clay to design and sculpt your slab-built mug using our newest square-bottom / round-top template.
🖌️ Tools & Materials Included: Access professional sculpting tools, materials, and our exclusive slab mug template to help shape and refine your piece during the first session.
🎨 Expert Instruction: Learn step-by-step slab-building techniques from local pottery artist Liz Thiessen in a relaxed, supportive studio environment.
⏳ Drying & First Kiln Firing: After the workshop, your mug will remain in our care for several weeks while it fully dries and completes its first kiln (bisque) firing.
✨ Session Two – Complimentary Glazing: Once your mug has completed its first firing, enjoy a FREE second glazing session, bookable during our public drop-in hours. During this session, you’ll glaze your mug, add final details, and prep it for its final firing.
🔥 Final Kiln Firing: Your mug will then be professionally fired to ensure a durable, food-safe, and polished finish.
