Donnell Jones’ career took off in 1996 with his album My Heart, a collection of R&B gems that helped establish his reputation as a soulful crooner. His cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Knocks Me Off My Feet” became a huge hit and showcased his spectacular singing voice. His live concerts bring his background in gospel music to the stage and ticket holders get the chance to hear Jones belt out some of his most popular numbers, like “U Know What’s Up” and “Shorty (Got Her Eyes on Me).” His soulful songs get the crowd chanting along with him, and he is great at injecting energy into his concerts and owning the stage with his sharp style. �Born in Chicago to a gospel-singer father, Jones took an interest in music at a very young age. In order to avoid the gang culture of Chicago’s South Side, he started hanging out with local musicians and soon partnered up with Untouchables Entertainment president Eddie F , L.A. Reid and Babyface, who gave him the boost he needed to spark his career.
