Nico and Madame Sass are a local powerhouse duo who embody all that is K Rd - vibrant energy, eclectic tunes, and a charismatic way of bringing their character into everything they do. With their blended French and Kiwi cultures, the pair's passionate, authentic and curious approach to life seeps into every set. They describe themselves as a pair or hyperactive kids who are as obsessed with music as they are about each other. Nico is a Tech House fiend, constantly searching for that dynamic larger than life track with infectious beats and a slamming bass drop. . His recent release, ‘Set Me Free’ has reached the far corners of Australasia and Europe and is showing promise for more creative productions in 2024.
Steff, aka Madame Sass, likes the groovier side of life. House is her religion and she loves to flirt between genres; jazz house, afro house, deep house, tribal house….whatever the Spirit of House calls for. After dark, Sass flips her hand to reveal a repertoire of both melodic and peak hour techno, inspired by Bicep, Adam Beyer, and the Berlin techno scene.
The pair have collectively played in Berlin, Croatia, and throughout Tamaki Makaurau’s leading venues including Hi So and Fitzroy, and a residency at local hotspots, Verona and Pastel.
No matter where these rascals end up, they bring the party! Catch them in action on Friday 26th of April at Ink Bar, bringing the local fire to New Zealand's most iconic K' Rd strip.
