Doncaster Wayfarers - Fridaythorpe

Join us for a day exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds from the village of Fridaythorpe, one of the highest villages in East Yorkshire at around 550 feet above sea level. The area is surrounded by rolling countryside, dry valleys and some of the finest walking routes in the Wolds.
'A' Walk – Approximately 14 miles
Fridaythorpe → Holm Dale → Huggate → Yorkshire Wolds Way → Glebe Farm → Nettle Dale → Chalkland Way → Wayrham Dale → Fridaythorpe
A longer walk taking in a variety of Wolds landscapes, quiet tracks and scenic dales, with sections along the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail.
'B' Walk – Approximately 6.5 miles
Fridaythorpe → Holm Dale → Huggate Church → Glebe Farm → Wold House Farm → Huggate Wold → Fridaythorpe
A shorter route offering the same stunning Yorkshire Wolds scenery at a more relaxed distance.
Important Information
'A' walk: approximately 14 miles
'B' walk: approximately 6.5 miles
Suitable walking footwear is essential. Please carry waterproof clothing if conditions require. Bring a packed lunch and drinks for the day.
Coach Pick-Up Points - The coach departs from the following locations:
Rossington - 7:20am
Cantley - 7:25am
Armthorpe - 7:30am
Doncaster Royal Infirmary - 7:45am
Waterdale - 8:00am
After the walks, walkers can enjoy refreshments before the journey home, with both a village pub and café available in Fridaythorpe.
