Step into your power! This yoga session incorporates vinyasa yoga and yoga nidra so you can breathe and move into the true essence of yourself. Combining 1 hour of Vinyasa with strengthening exercises and rejuvenating stretches, followed by 30 minutes of an empowering yoga nidra meditation, you will leave this class feeling energized, stronger, and more empowered. It is a beginner/intermediate class, with some opportunities to practice more challenging movements and postures. Don't worry though, there will always be opportunities to modify. :)
For the best experience, bring a cozy blanket and pillow(s).
Class is donation-based. The suggested donation amount is $15-$30, but feel free to pay what you can to help cover studio costs.
What is yoga nidra?
Yoga nidra, also know as yogi sleep, conscious sleep, or psychic sleep, is a guided meditation and body scan. It is designed to give the mind and body deep rest more efficiently than taking a nap. In yoga nidra, you stay in the state between being awake and asleep to turn inward, rest the thinking mind, and reprogram the subconscious. 30 minutes of yoga nidra is the equivalent of 2-3 hours of sleep! Benefits of this practice include better sleep at night, refreshing the mind, reduced mind chatter, deeper intuition, enhanced creativity and problem-solving, and self-transformation. This is an incredible practice, and all you need to do is lie down on your mat and relax to reap the benefits.
Please note:
- Space is limited, if you are unable to make it, please update your RSVP at least 24 hours before so others have a chance to join. This is very important!
- You can make your donation by bringing cash the day of, or sending an etransfer to [email protected]
- Please try to arrive to class 5-10 minutes before we start to be on time and settle in.
- Please bring your yoga mat, water, 2 blocks if you have them, blankets, pillows, and any other props you may like to use.
- Always listen to your body.

This is a downtown studio space, the closest metro is St-Laurent. You will find us in the FIT studio. To find the studio space, when you get to Espaces Des Arts on the second floor, immediately turn left towards the washrooms, then walk down the hall a bit and turn right. If you have trouble finding the studio, just ask the reception for the FIT studio and they will help direct you.
