Learn the basics of standup comedy including standup terminology, performance techniques, how to construct jokes, and how to create a 5 minute routine.

About the instructor

Don Garrett lives in Charlotte, NC. Voted Best Comedian 2020 by Queen City Nerve, Don has performed in various comedy festivals and will produce the Unfiltered Comedy Show Vol. 2 in the 2022 Queen City Comedy Experience. Don has opened for Last Comic Standing winner Jon Reep. Don also recorded a Dry Bar Comedy special in 2021 that’s set to release soon.

Don has been heralded for his charisma, wittiness, and relentless dedication to standup comedy. His real passion is teaching the craft of standup comedy to anyone who wants to learn it. Don's students have affectionately nicknamed him Professor Don.
