Doors: 1.15pm / Show: 2:00pm

We are delighted to welcome Dom Martin back to The Harlington as part of the “A Savage Life” Tour. Dom recorded his ‘Live at The Harlington’ album in 2021 and the boys are back in town with their own brand of high energy Blues Rock. Dom has an affinity with this venue and town, having played a number of shows for The Underground Music Club, both as a solo act and with Dave Thompson (Bass) and Laurence McKeown (Drums).
Hailing from Belfast, Dom traded his craft for a time locally without a (self-confessed) clue about how to break into the (international) music business and possibly with too much humility to try. 'Discovered' by his present management team (Fenton & Audrey Parsons), Dom has made a 'meteoric' rise in terms of today's industry, with his first ever EP release attracting BBC 6 music and BBC Radio 2 support - including a converted session with Cerys Matthews. He now has a number of international tours and Festivals either conquered or under his belt, and is building a loyal following wherever he plays. His jaw dropping, entirely natural sound and unforced/unschooled skill on acoustic guitar, matched with an authentic 'Belfast Blues' voice, brings to mind comparisons with many from (Glasgow born) John Martyn to Rory Gallagher, with nods to many in-between not least perhaps the likes of Van Morrison and Foy Vance.
Dom was awarded Best Solo/Acoustic Act in the European Blues Awards 2019 and having been nominated for three categories in the 2020 and 2021 UK Blues Awards, picked up Best Acoustic Blues Artist in both years, And he’s not done yet, with a further three nominations in the same awards for 2022. Dom has also been invited by the UK Blues Federation to represent the UK at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis USA in May!
Dom is a star – Fact. Don’t miss him.
Dom will be ably supported by another Harlington favourite in the shape of Brave Rival, a band raising eyebrows wherever they play. After a very busy 2021, they are now very much the band of the moment and the future is looking incredibly bright for this crowd pleasing collective. A successful set on the introducing stage at the 2022 Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival in Skegness saw them win the competition, securing a deserved place on the main stage in 2023.
This is a feelgood band, where the beautiful twin vocals of Chloe Josephine and Lindsey Bonnick are complimented by Ed Clarke (Lead guitar), Billy Dedman (Bass) and Donna Peters (Drums).
Since their inception in the summer of 2019, Brave Rival have gone from strength to strength, featuring in Raw Ramp Magazine as one of the 'Top 20 Bands To Watch In 2020' and nominated for 'Breakthrough Act 2019' by Get Ready To Rock Radio. The icing on the cake is a 2022 UK Blues Award Nomination for Best Emerging Blues Band into the bargain.
BR have earned their dues, relentlessly gigging and winning some prestigious support tour slots with the likes of UK Blues legend Stevie Nimmo and The Bill Walton Band from the US.
With a critically acclaimed live album (‘Live at the Echo Hotel Music Club’) and their first studio album (Life’s machine) due in May, this is a band on their way.
Come and enjoy this afternoon of spectacular entertainment.
