The torches are lit and the ukulele is ready.Join us Saturday, April 25th at Pele Utu Renoville as Dom & Friends bring their unique blend of island spirit, jazz sophistication, and classic grooves to Reno’s only traditional tiki bar.
Fronted by Dominic “Dominator” Pieranunzio, an award-winning ukulele player and educator, the group blends Hawaiian, jazz, pop, classic rock, and original music into a lively and joyful performance that feels right at home under bamboo and torchlight. Dom discovered the ukulele while visiting Kauai in 1999 and has been sharing his passion for the instrument ever since—creating tabs, lessons, and performances that have helped ukulele players around the world.
In 2012, Dom won the Jake Shimabukuro Ukulelestar Contest, performing on the same stage as the legendary ukulele virtuoso at the historic Castro Theater in San Francisco during the premiere of the documentary Life on Four Strings.
Backing him is a fantastic group of seasoned musicians.
Together, Dom & Friends create a lively mix of ukulele-driven originals, creative covers, infectious grooves, and rich harmonies that make for a perfect night of music and tropical cocktails.
