Dolly & Denim at the Utah Capitol

You’ve told us you want to help bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to every Utah family. Here’s how: join us in the Capitol Rotunda on November 16, and bring your friends, family, and neighbors.

Only half of Utah’s 3rd graders read at grade level. Imagination Library mails a free, high-quality book every month to children from birth to age five, building home libraries and time reading together long before kindergarten. It’s growing fast in Utah, and a full Rotunda shows how many of us care about kids and reading.

What to expect: Dolly favorites performed live by London Lowry and Summerisa Bell Stevens, a candid conversation between Kristin Andrus and Sheri Dew, dirty sodas, and a photo booth. Share your favorite reading memory and learn how to enroll a child, or get involved in your community.

You're invited to come dressed in your best Dolly-inspired look, whether that's a big blonde up-do or some classic blue jeans!

Bring your friends. Fill the Capitol. Celebrate the gift of reading for every Utah child!

For attendance, a donation is requested with all funds going to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

Operation Literacy is Dollywood Foundation's Utah statewide affiliate, meaning your donation will go straight to children in Utah.

The donation amount is up to you, starting at $1.00. We invite a donation of $31.20, to cover the cost of one child's Imagination Library books for a whole year! Your night out can become a child’s year of reading.

I can't wait to see you!

XOXO,

Kristin Andrus

Because the ticket price is a donation, we cannot fulfill refund requests for this event. This is part of Kristin's quarterly event series, Brave and Bold, and Building Bridges.
