Superchief Gallery NFT is proud to present DOLLS DOLLS DOLLS, a solo exhibition by photographer Pol Kurucz .

The show opens on Friday November 12 with a reception with the artist from 6pm - 10pm and will be on view through November 19.

The exhibition features photography NTF’s alongside their animated counterparts presented as NFT videos available on OpenSea.

A long time favorite included in numerous Superchief group shows, this is Kurucz’s first solo show with the gallery. The exhibition stands as a retrospective of the artist's colorful career.

Deliberate use of clashing colors and heavy saturation enables the work to scream for attention. Subjects appear caught during moments within nearly unrecognizable scenes; almost as if the viewer just peeked into an alternative world, one more surreal than our own. The animated counterparts to the still images allow for deeper insight into these moments with the addition of more eye-catching fantasy.

In his work, Kurucz aims to celebrate freedom outside the mainstream conception of reality with emphasis on boundless self-expression. Allowing himself to be more of a vessel for narratives outside of his own experience, Kurucz focuses on individuals and concepts that exist along the outskirts of imagination. By recognizing that our collective idea of what is considered “normal” is merely a construct, an expanse of limitless possibilities unfold. Within this space exists something more feminist, more queer, more fantastical, more strange.
