This workshop is intended for individuals who have settled all their family law matters such as custody, support and marital property division and wish to apply for an uncontested divorce in the following:
- Bathurst (Gloucester County)
- Campbellton (Restigouche County)
- Edmundston (Madawaska County, the Parish of Drummond, and the Town of Grand Falls)
- Fredericton (Counties of York, Sunbury, and Queens)
- Miramichi (Northumberland County)
- Woodstock (Carleton County and Victoria County, excluding the Parish of Drummond and the Town of Grand Falls)
These areas follow the procedure under rules 72 and 73 of the New Brunswick Rules of Court, while the Judicial Districts of Moncton and Saint John use a different procedure.
PLEIS-NB is hosting an family law workshop titled “Doing Your Own Uncontested Divorce in New Brunswick the regions of Bathurst, Campbellton, Edmundston, Fredericton, Miramichi, and Woodstock", presented by Spencer MacInnis, a New Brunswick lawyer.
