About this Event

This August, in celebration of Black Business Month, hear from 3 entrepreneurs who have successfully secured contracts with the Department of Education and learn how you, too, can leverage resources to unlock public sector opportunities. Joining them will be an official representative from the Department to provide an insider perspective on navigating the government procurement process and breaking down barriers in educational contracting.

Panelists include:

  • Steven Cruz of Omega Education Consulting
  • Andrea Augustus of Poetic Black Gurl
  • Samantha Sinclair of Pathway to Purpose
  • Dr. Tammy Pate, Deputy Chief Officer, Senior Executive Director Business Development at NYC Public Schools

Thank you to our partners in this event: the Brooklyn Public Library Business & Career Center and BE NYC. Black Entrepreneurs NYC is an initiative of the NYC Department of Small Business Services to help create equity of opportunity by advancing Black entrepreneurship.
