That's why the activity of canine musical freestyle is one of our favorite!
We're launching our 2026 program with the return of Judy Gamet, professional dance instructor and dog trainer, for two fun, accessible, workshops for those of all abilities, from newbie to advanced.
Join Judy at our training academy on Sunday, February 8 for one or both of these interactive workshops. Don't wait to register - spots are limited and last year was a sell-out!
INTRODUCTION TO CANINE MUSICAL FREESTYLE - Sunday, February 8, 2026, 11 am-12:30 pm. Discover why dogs love freestyle and training with music. This training is the perfect compliment to all dog sports. Learn fun moves and how to find the perfect music for your dog.
DANCING FOR SMILES - Sunday, February 8, 2026, 1:30-3 pm. Create fun freestyle combinations using props! This workshop was originally created for therapy dog teams who want to entertain with music and freestyle. Whether you are a therapy dog team or not, Dancing for Smiles creates confidence and a feeling of joy for both the dog and handler. Bring a long scarf, a target stick or cane, and a hat.
All levels of experience are welcome. Dogs should have good loose leash walking skills and attention to handlers. No prior experience with dance or canine musical freestyle is required!
Vaccinations required: Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella.
Cost is $40 per workshop.
