Eunice, will be your tutor in this hands-on workshop sharing her experience creating life-like pastel pet portraits. Eunice’s step-by-step approach to teaching pastel pet portraiture insures that when this workshop is complete you will know how to develop a realistic pet portrait from the first sketch through a finished painting. Eunice will talk through the secrets to creating various fur types whether painting cats, dogs, horses, or other furry creatures and take you through the special issues of painting all black or all white fur, a common challenge. You will learn hands on how to make incredibly life-like eyes, a critical component for a realistic pet portrait
Regardless of how much experience you have painting animals, you will be thrilled to learn all the “tricks” of the trade Eunice has mastered through years of portrait painting.
Eunice will take you through a series of exercises tackling various furs types, eyes and noses
In the afternoon You will get to work on your own pet portrait, with Eunice on hand to guide and advise.
This small group workshop ensures Eunice’s personal guidance and encouragement, you will leave the class prepared to apply your new skills to incorporate what you have learned in pastel paintings that include animals, or improve the quality of your own portrait commissions.
All materials and refreshments are provided, you will just bring along a light packed lunch and an A4 colour print of the dog you wish to paint.
