FIND FUR-FILLMENT AT THE 2022 MELBOURNE DOG LOVERS SHOW…Since 2013, the Melbourne Dog Lovers Show has grown to become one of the largest festivals in the world dedicated to educating, entertaining and inspiring dog lovers (but not dogs themselves – please leave them at home and don’t bring them to the Show!).
After a three-and-a-half-year break, the Show FINALLY returns for three days, from 9.30am to 5pm, Friday 14th to Sunday 16th October 2022, at our exciting NEW venue – the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (Jeff’s Shed!) in South Wharf!
The Show will be bursting with attractions and is one of the best-value days out in Melbourne because, once you walk through the doors, everything to see and do is FREE!
Here are the TOP 10 THINGS to do at the Melbourne Dog Lovers Show this year:
1 MEET & INTERACT with more than 1,000 beautiful dogs, representing 100+ breeds, across the weekend throughout the Show…
See, compare and most importantly cuddle a wide range of beautiful dogs in the Breed Showcase presented by DOGS Victoria Breed Clubs.
Interact with a range of dog breeds from the comfort of a bean-bag, with a handler providing trusted, reliable information on each dog, in the Pet House Pat-A-Pooch zone.
Meet dozens of beautiful dogs needing a fur-ever home in the PETstock Adoption Zone, and catch free talks about adopting a fur-ever friend, on the PETstock Adoption Stage.
Marvel at the intelligence and skill of the beautiful Beloka Kelpies, working dogs from Gippsland, on the PETstock Stage.
Admire the star quality of the InstaPooches strutting the red carpet on the PETstock Stage.
2 GET IN THE SPLASHZONE as Australia’s most talented aquatic dogs launch themselves into our massive 100,000-litre pool in the DockDogs, held indoors for the very first time.
3 BE ENTHRALLED by performances from talented dogs in the Vitapet Arena, including The WONDERDOGS, Farmer Dave’s ‘Ninja Dogs’ and Luke Hura, Australia’s leading Animal Film Trainer.
4 BECOME A BETTER FUR-PARENT with tips for a healthier, happier hound on the PETstock Stage (emceed by Brodie Young) from leading dog and animal experts including Dr Katrina Warren and Kelly Gill, Lara Shannon from “Pooches at Play”, Rose Horton, Paul Macphail, and Bondi Vet Danni Dusek.
5 *NEW* HAVE YOUR MIND EXPANDED by our headlining hooman act, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, who’ll bring his MASSIVE science-meets-entertainer brain to the subject of the Science of Dogs (of course!), in an exclusive panel discussion alongside TV vet Dr Katrina Warren and Bondi Vet, Danni Dusek.
6 FIND YOUR PERFECT POOCH MATCH by completing a detailed questionnaire in the Breed Selector Survey to discover the most suitable breed for your lifestyle, before reviewing 50+ giant breed information posters. Presented by Bow Wow Meow, in the Perfect Match Zone.
