DISCOVER THE PURE JOY OF DOGS AT THE 2023 SYDNEY DOG LOVERS FESTIVAL…
Since 2014, the Sydney Dog Lovers Show has grown to become one of the largest events in the world dedicated to educating, entertaining and inspiring dog lovers.
In celebration of our 8th ‘Show’ we have decided to change our name to the Dog Lovers FESTIVAL!
We think this title encapsulates our brand a lot better - an epic, festival-like celebration of the unconditional love we share with our best friends that pays homage to just how much they enrich our lives.
It returns on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th August 2023 at the Sydney Showground from 9:30am to 5pm daily and for the first time it will be run alongside (but in separate halls) the inaugural Cat Lovers Festival!
The event will be bursting with attractions and it's one of the best value days out in Sydney as once you walk through the door everything to see and do is FREE!
Here’s a snapshot of the TOP THINGS YOU CAN DO AT THE SHOW:
1. Meet & interact with more than 800 beautiful dogs over the weekend represented by 100+ breeds spread across Pat-A-Pooch, InstaPooch, the Adoption Zone and the Breed Showcase;
2. Performances from talented dogs in the Arena including The Wonderdogs and Dave Grahams ‘Extreme High Jumping Dogs’ with tips for a healthier, happier hound on the Main Stage from leading dog and animal experts including Dr Katrina Warren, Kelly Gill, Lara Shannon and Brodie Young;
3. Get in the SPLASHZONE as Australia’s most talented aquatic dogs launch themselves into our massive 100,000-litre pool in the Dock Dogs competition which we are bringing indoors to the Dome for the first time;
4. Shop & save with 1,000s of the latest and greatest products and services to spoil your pooch plus exclusive Show Specials and New Product launches;
5. See, compare and cuddle a wide range of beautiful dogs in the Breed Showcase presented by DOGS NSW Breed Clubs with talks on the Ask-A-Breeder Stage;
6. In the Pat-A-Pooch zone you can interact with a range of dog breeds with a handler providing trusted, reliable information on each dog;
7. Meet dozens of beautiful Dogs needing a fur-ever home in the Adoption Zone plus watch some of Australia's biggest K9 internet stars strut their stuff down the InstaPooch pink carpet on the Main Stage;
8. Hear from the country’s leading emergency vets & nurses on the SASH stand with interactive games & opportunities to speak directly with the SASH Emergency team.
9. Chow Chow down with loads of food trucks from some of Sydney's yummiest favourites plus a wide range of cafes throughout the Show;
10. Stacks of activities for the kids including Doggy Face Painting, Glitter Neon Selfie and Funny Photo Walls!
Warning: Tickets will sell like hot cakes – so fetch them early to avoid disappointment!
Please note: that a limited number of discounted Sydney Cat Lovers Festival tickets will be available at the event to those who have purchased a Dog Lovers Festival ticket. This will be subject to availability and can’t be guaranteed.

An important message.
The Dog Lovers Festival was developed to celebrate our best friends and to educate, entertain and inform dog lovers, not dogs. We work hard to ensure that this is under controlled conditions for the safety and welfare of dogs and people. We cannot deliver this level of care if visitors are able to bring their own dogs. We would also need to test the behaviour of every dog prior to entry and review their vaccination certificates which would not be possible. So, we ask all visitors to please respect this position and not bring their dog. Refunds will not be provided for visitors who do turn up with their pooch. Sorry!
