Please join us for a warm and deep conversation led by Rabbi Rishe Groner, Chochmat HaLev's new Director of Learning and Transformation, featuring Rabbi Dr. Jay Michaelson of the Emory Center for Psychedelics and Spirituality and Rabbi Zvika Krieger entitled “Does Wonder Make You Wonder?”
As we grapple with the potential legalization of psychedelics, join us for a discussion on the role of ecstatic and visionary experience in spiritual practice and beyond. What can we learn from Jewish wisdom about the opportunities, challenges, and limitations of these experiences? What does peak experience do (and not do) in our own lives and in our philosophical, visionary, and prophetic traditions? From Abraham Joshua Heschel to the Sonoran Desert Toad, the Priestesses of Ancient Israel to the Radical Faeries, we will range wide and deep in this freewheeling conversation among spiritual friends and companions.
