Does My Vote Even Count?

Most of us were never taught how elections actually work in Tennessee. How your vote gets counted, why Nashville's district lines just changed, whether a single vote really matters here. A lot of this is made to feel more complicated than it needs to be, and we want to help with that.

Nashville Public Radio is taking you behind the scenes of how Tennessee elections actually work. We're getting the people who run them and the people who cover them in one room to answer the things nobody really explains. No jargon, no judgment.

You'll hear from John Richardson, the Administrator of Elections for Davidson County, and WPLN reporter Marianna Bacallao. We'll get into how voting works, what Nashville's redistricting means for you, how to read your ballot, and the question a lot of us are actually asking: does your vote count in a state like ours?
