The Shame of Pt. Reyes, a documentary by Skyler Thomas, who will discuss the film after the screening, addresses the plight of the tule elk in Pt. Reyes National Seashore and the failure of the National Park Service to provide adequate care for animals held in a public zoo on federal land.
Thomas’s film uncovers misuse of government funds, destruction of federal lands, abuse of migrant workers, and the power of the animal agricultural industry.
