The Docent Training Program prepared volunteers to lead engaging walking tours that bring our city's urban forest to life. As a Certified Volunteer Docent, you'll guide tours through the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum, Neighborhood Arboreta, and other restored greenspaces, sharing the stories behind the trees and the communities that care for them. Docents can also use their training to lead other speaking roles representing Trees Atlanta, such as talking about Trees Atlanta's mission and programs at community meetings and events. This year's training will focus on the area surrounding Trees Atlanta's new headquarters, the newly developed Beltline paths, and underrepresented greenspaces across the city.
The program includes five interactive classes and hands-on tour experience to become Certified. Both youth and adults are welcome! Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
