Join us for a screening of IOWA: And The Broken Circle on Wednesday, September 16 from 7:00-8:30 PM as part of our "Doc Talk" series.
“Doc Talk” is a limited presentation series on documentary filmmaking hosted by KHOI Community Radio in collaboration with the Ames Regional Economic Alliance and the Ames Documentary Film Festival.
IOWA: And The Broken Circle is directed by Charles Morris, an Iowa City-based filmmaker.
Film summary: IOWA: And The Broken Circle is a feature documentary from the Iowa Prairie Documentary Project that explores Iowa’s transformation from a vast prairie ecosystem to one of the nation’s most intensively farmed landscapes. Through history and personal stories, the film examines the connections between land use, conservation, and Iowa’s future.
Each screening is free and open to the public.
The series is supported in part through local option tax funds provided by the City of Ames through the Commission on the Arts.
