Do-It-Ourselves Fest is one day of workshops and conversation celebrating DIY culture, art, music, and learning through mutual aid.DIO Fest is about what we can do ourselves, for our community and one another.
It’s about what we are all capable of when we come together as one.
We are drawing on a rich history; this is the fourth DIO Fest that has been held in Lincoln, from a small event at the Bike Kitchen in 2013, growing a bit in 2015 at the Commons, to a jam-packed 3-day event at the Bay in 2017.
This year, we're back at the Bay, for just one day.
Check in/mingling starts at 9am, and we'll kick off at 9:45am. We'll go throughout the day and finish off with several sets of live, local music starting at 5:30pm.
Attendance is free, all ages are welcome. No alcohol on-site, please.
9am - check-in/greeting one another
9:45am - official kick off
lunch break
5:30 - workshops over, music begins!
10:00 - go home if you haven't already!

The event will primarily be taking place indoors in a wheelchair-friendly space. As the covid pandemic is ongoing and we want to be as inclusive as we can to our at-risk community members, masks are highly encouraged. However, there will be opportunities for snacks and drinks - you're welcome to step outside for those breaks if you'd like.
