EVENT INFO
"Third Annual Do It For Daylen
Join us for a fun-filled family day on September 21st at Forty Niners Country Club.
In honor of our son, Daylen, who passed away in 2021 from DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), we are raising as much money as we can for pediatric cancer research. DIPG is primarily a pediatric cancer that affects young children. This brain cancer, to date, is terminal and is inoperable. Funding for pediatric cancer research is grossly underfunded and we need to change that. Every little bit helps. On September 21, the 49ers gates will open at 11:00 for the family fun! This year the entire event will take place on the driving range (with the exception of the pool, of course) From 11:00-3:00, the kids can enjoy inflatable obstacle courses (2 sizes), balloon twister, face painting, games, petting zoo (exact time for the critters to be determined), as well as access to the pool (with lifeguards on duty)! But the kids don't have to leave at 3:00- that's just when the "stuff" leaves. The whole family can stay and jam out with the live music! The corn hole tournament will return this year! We are excited to have Old Pueblo Baggers joining the cause and taking over our corn hole tournament. EDITED as of 9.13.24: We will just have ONE category for corn hole now. We will have two separate categories. The fist category is the amateur category... not much explanation needed there. We have room for 16 teams! The tournament will start at 10:00. We understand this is earlier than the event starts, but we gotta get the bags flying. The 9 hole four- person team scramble is also back! We have lots of spots, so fill em up. The golf tournament will start at 10:00 am (registration at 9:30). In addition, local celebrity DJ, Porkchop, from KIIM FM, will be spinning the tunes all day long. Around 1:00 we will enjoy live music from Jay Faircloth! At 3:30ish, Drew Cooper and his band will close out the event with a concert. All of this is included with your admission ticket! Each ticket includes a meal ticket (drinks sold separately). There will be three different food trucks to choose from! There will be two bars will be open for you to purchase your favorite beverages! We will have places to sit and eat, but please feel free to bring a chair or blanket to hang out on the lawn (this is actually highly encouraged). We will be selling raffle tickets for some amazing baskets (will have more info as the event gets closer)! I mean, they are the bomb diggity! We will also have T-shirts available for purchase. We had an incredible turn out last year and are so grateful and hope to see even more people attend this year. We hope to see you out there!
