Do Go Chasing Waterfalls: Release Strategy 101

At Cryptid Records, we're dedicated to supporting the music community in Philly and beyond. In order to continue to offer free and low-cost community events, we need y'alls help. If you sign up for a ticket and then are not able to attend the event, please cancel your ticket with as much advance notice as possible (ideally 48 hours+ before the event) so we can open your spot to someone on the waiting list.

Why waterfall releases are helpful: They help to build momentum for an artist and album by releasing singles individually. This also allows each single to be pitched to playlists separately.

We will be walking through how to set up waterfall releases and how to build momentum for your new music, whether it is an EP or an album. We'll also discuss the ways in which waterfall releases can help to boost your algorythm, maximuze playlisting opportunies, stack streams for you album, extend your release cycle, and build fan engagement.

After the workshop, stick around for a mixer to hang out / network with the Cryptid Records team and other folks in the Philly music community! This event is free to attend.
