Join us for the DMO’s free spring concert, Planet Hopping, which brings together music inspired by the mystery and power of the cosmos. Selections from Gustav Holst’s The Planets offer striking musical portraits of our celestial neighbors, while music from Gladiator, ET, Star Trek, and the Star Wars suite bring sweeping drama. The program also features the luminous final movement of John Adams’s Harmonielehre along with Missy Mazzoli’s Orbiting Spheres, a vivid contemporary work shaped by motion and light. Together, these pieces create an afternoon of music that balances energy, majesty, and wonder.Free admission, all are welcome with no tickets required!
