Ever wanted to learn how to scratch for real?
On Saturday May 23rd, CO'LAAB opens its doors for an intimate scratch and DJ workshop with Danny Murphy — aka Misc. Jockey — professional DJ, Hip-Hop producer and scratch instructor from Manchester, now based in Barcelona.

What you'll experience:
We open with a short introduction to the origins of scratch — from Grand Wizard Theodore in the South Bronx to the birth of Hip-Hop as a global cultural movement. Not a documentary. Real context to understand what you're about to do with your hands.
Then the DJ takes over. 1 hour and 20 minutes of hands-on practice on the turntables — technique, rhythm, vinyl control. No unnecessary theory. Just you, the scratch, and an instructor who has spent years with his hands on the decks.
After the session: coffee, conversation and networking with the other participants.
About Misc Jockey
DJ, scratch instructor and Hip-Hop producer from Manchester. His music blends soul, funk and Hip-Hop with scratch at the centre — a sound built from a deep love of vinyl and the culture that made it possible. Author of The Misctape, his debut EP fully produced and cut by himself, now living and performing in Barcelona.
