DIY Rain Barrel Workshop

Join Clemson Extension Water Resources Agents for a fun, hands-on workshop all about the benefits of rainwater harvesting! Learn how capturing rainwater can conserve water, reduce runoff, and support healthier plants — then build your very own rain barrel to take home.

With step-by-step guidance, participants will construct a fully sealed rain barrel using repurposed 60-gallon pickle barrels and a variety of hand and power tools. After construction, stick around to personalize and decorate your barrel to make it uniquely yours. (If your barrel needs extra drying time, we’re happy to store it temporarily at the Clemson Extension office.)
