DIY Clocks: The Art of Making Time
About this Event
Time has a funny way of slipping through our fingers. One minute it's June, the next it's September, and you're wondering where the time went.
In this workshop, we'll create one-of-a-kind fabric clocks using a circular canvas base, fabric, mosaic stones, collage materials and other decorative elements. As we make, we'll explore what it means to spend our time intentionally—not in a goal-setting kind of way, but in a what do I want more of? kind of way.
Glowfish workshops are small, creative gatherings built around the idea that creativity isn't something you earn—it's something you uncover. The focus isn't on getting it "right" or mastering a craft. It's about following curiosity, making something with your hands, and creating space to notice what matters.
No prior experience or artistic skills needed. Truly.
How we'll spend our time
- A warm, low-key start to help you settle in and feel comfortable
- Thoughtful prompts centered around time, attention, and the moments that make a season feel meaningful (sharing is always optional)
- A simple introduction to the materials and how to assemble your clock
- Plenty of open time to create, experiment, chat, reflect, and follow your ideas wherever they lead
- A relaxed wrap-up where you can admire what you've made, connect with others, or quietly head out into the rest of your day
