This holiday season, New Orleans is jingling all the way back to the heart of Bourbon Street in the 1950s! Leading the charge is Marguerite “God Warrior” Perrin, making her stage debut as the real life Bourbon Street icon, Miss Dixie.
Set in 1956, Dixie’s Holiday Bar invites audiences into a glitter-drenched nightclub for Miss Dixie’s annual Christmas Variety Show fundraiser. The stakes are high this year — a wild brawl earlier in the season left her beloved bar in shambles, and now Dixie and her unruly staff are scrambling to raise the repair funds before the police can shut them down. What follows is a night of chaos, cocktails, carols, and so much camp. This is a heartfelt celebration of chosen family and queer resilience, all wrapped in tinsel and sequins.
Marguerite Perrin is joined by a brilliant cast of New Orleans-based performers including Dewey Fleszar, Tarah Cards, Monica R. Harris, Anya Sapozhnikova, Doug Spearman and Ryan Phillips.
