Diwali Fest 2024 - Event Waiver and Release of Liability

By purchasing a ticket and/or attending Diwali Fest 2024, hosted by Indians In Calgary on November 23, 2024, at Genesis Centre, Calgary, you agree to the following terms:

1. Assumption of Risk:
   You acknowledge that participation in this event involves certain risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, and other hazards. By attending the event, you voluntarily assume all such risks associated with your participation.
2. Release of Liability:
   You, on behalf of yourself, your heirs, assigns, and personal representatives, hereby release and discharge Indians In Calgary, its organizers, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, and the venue (Genesis Centre) from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or losses arising from your attendance or participation in this event, including personal injury or property damage.
3. Personal Responsibility:
   You agree to comply with all safety guidelines and instructions provided by event organizers. You are responsible for your own personal belongings during the event, and Indians In Calgary will not be liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
4. Food Inclusion:
   Event tickets include food, which will be provided by the organizers. While every effort is made to ensure safety and quality, attendees with specific dietary restrictions, allergies, or intolerances are responsible for reviewing ingredients and consuming food at their own discretion. Indians In Calgary will not be held responsible for any adverse reactions or food-related issues.
5. Medical Authorization:
   In the event of an emergency, you authorize event organizers or medical personnel to seek medical treatment on your behalf, if necessary, and you agree to bear the cost of any such treatment.
6. Media Release:
   By attending, you grant Indians In Calgary permission to use photographs, videos, or other media taken during the event for promotional purposes without any compensation or further approval.
7. COVID-19 Disclaimer:
   By attending the event, you acknowledge the inherent risks of exposure to COVID-19 or other communicable illnesses in any public place where people are present. You agree to comply with any health and safety measures in place and assume all risks related to potential exposure.
8. Minors:
   If you are purchasing tickets for or attending the event with minors (individuals under 18 years old), you, as the parent or legal guardian, agree to the terms of this waiver on their behalf. You acknowledge that you are responsible for the supervision, safety, and well-being of the minors in your care during the event.
9. No Refund Policy:
   All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the organizers.
