We are moving the table from the stable under the stars!

Patch of Heaven Sanctuary’s 20-acre forest preserve and recognized wildlife sanctuary is a historically recognized site filled with Miami-Dade County history. And we just learned that there may be ancient history on our land.
A team of archaeologists recently visited to check out our Florida Solution Holes, which are geological repositories of times past; there is the possibility that Tequesta Indian artifacts may be found. They were unearthed in the Castellow Hammock next door, believed to be 1,000 years old.
Not far from us, there was an ancient lion jawbone unearthed in a Redland forest.
As Patch grows forward, we continue to unearth fascinating history and plan for our important future, supporting the reconnection between Human Nature & Mother Nature.

Miami-Dade County has a Tree Canopy problem with <30% tree coverage. Patch’s Land & Ecowellness Acquisition plans will help solve the problem.

We have already regenerated 10 acres of forest once in the last 15 years.

We create spaces that feel both wild and inviting, emphasizing biodiversity and ecological balance. Our approach uses native, drought-tolerant, and edible plants to support local wildlife and create dynamic, nourishing gardens. This stunning, sacred conservation, forest regeneration, and mindful nature education project kicked off in 2008 with the vision of our founder, Bruce, believing that he and our original horticultural team could restore the Old Growth Hammock, the Matheson Forest Dwelling, and historic homes to create a sanctuary committed to reconnecting the broken bridge between Human Nature and Mother Nature.

In less than two decades, we have achieved that and more.

2026 opens the door for us to DOUBLE IN SIZE and be the ONLY REDLAND PROJECT to return agricultural land back to Nature.
