As the earth begins to turn again towards the light, the invitation, (which I’ve come to realize is always a prayer in musical form), is that the divine light that is our birthright become even more available and alive to us and in us. This is a tall order! And, after all, I’m only a person, and it’s only a playlist. And I made it for you, so you can order whatever you wish. Or nothing at all. ❤️

10:00 am - invitation to community to prepare
our dance space
10:30 am - warm up begins
11:00 am - opening circle and main dance
12:30 am ish - closing circle
- If you’re new to ecstatic dance and come before opening circle, you are welcome to let someone know, and we’ll be happy to welcome you and answer any questions.
- If you come for opening circle, all dance, consent and comfort guidelines will be offered and again, you are welcome to ask questions!
A few tips:
- Dress comfortably.
- Feel free to bring water or snacks. (A large jug of drinking water is provided.)
- We dance sober.
- We practice inviting others into a dance (if we feel called) with consent in mind. Ways to do this are to extend an open hand or to sync up in some way with another’s dance.
- It’s perfect to dance alone with ourselves.
- It’s perfect to enter into dances with others who are willing.
- To decline a dance or mark that it’s complete for us, we often use palms together in a bowing motion.
- We don’t wear shoes on our wonderful dance floor to protect it.
- There is no fee to dance, but donations help us to improve our dance space and The Interchange.
