The 1987 Committee is a community group of Black Labour Party members and activists, united by our commitment to advancing our shared goals. Named after the year when the first Black and Asian MPs were elected to Parliament, the committee plays a crucial role in promoting diversity, equality, and representation within the party and the broader political landscape.
