About this Event
Neurodiversity is a vital part of our community, yet it’s often misunderstood or overlooked. With more neurodivergent students entering higher education and the workforce, it’s crucial to build an environment where everyone can thrive. At UNSW, we’re taking steps to make this a reality.
Join us for "Building Inclusive Futures: A Roadmap for Education & Beyond" as part of the UNSW SDG Showcase.
Our lived experience panel will feature students and staff from across UNSW, sharing their personal stories and the impact of neuro-inclusion on their studies, work, and well-being. We’ll dive into key topics from our newly developed toolkit—designed with input from neurodivergent students and educators—covering everything from creating inclusive learning environments to harnessing digital platforms and assistive technologies.
But our vision doesn’t stop at education. We’re also looking ahead to how these principles can transform workplaces and communities. Whether you’re a student, educator, or staff member, this event will offer valuable insights into how we can all contribute to a more inclusive UNSW.
By attending, you will learn how small, sustainable changes can create a significant impact on the educational experience of neurodivergent students and how these changes align with broader goals of improving mental health, reducing inequalities, and fostering a more inclusive community at UNSW.
Whether you’re an educator, student, staff member, or simply interested in the intersection of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and neurodiversity, this event is an opportunity to engage with our research and join the conversation.
Together, we can pave the way for a future where neurodiversity is recognised, respected, and celebrated.
UNSW Sydney’s Kensington and Paddington campuses are built on Aboriginal Lands.
We pay our respects to the Bidjigal and Gadigal peoples who are the Custodians of these lands. We acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the First Australians, whose lands, winds and waters we all now share, and pay respect to their unique values and their continuing and enduring cultures, which deepen and enrich the life of our nation and communities.
