Fun sessions to help young people with additional needs learn to cycle independently, without stabilisers.
About this Event

This session is designed for young people with additional needs to help them learn how to ride a bike independently. It will be led by experienced local cycling coach, Becky Cox and volunteers. There will be up to 3 children per session. This session will run on the main cycle track.

Bikes and helmets are available to borrow or you can bring your own. We strongly recommend that riders wear a helmet to take part in the sessions.

Please ensure that young people are wearing suitable shoes and clothing for cycling and the weather conditions. The sessions will continue in wet weather and will only be cancelled if a weather warning is in place (e.g storm), all participants will be contacted in advance if this is the case. Where possible please remove any stabilisers from your child's bike before attending.

Children will start this session using balance bikes to help them get confident with balancing before taking the next step of adding pedals. If your child would prefer to use a trike then they can join the Limitless Family cycling session running in parellel to this session which has adapted cycles available (no extra cost).

If you have any further questions please contact cycling coach Becky Cox on: [email protected]
