Troops from the Phoenix District have been invited to join Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) for a service project on Saturday, May 11.
The Chesmar Foundation is going to sponsor a build for Scouts BSA members. They will provide the lumber and the Scouts can build the beds. The build day is set for Saturday, May 11th from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at The Met. (13000 Jones Road, Houston, TX, 77070)

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a non-profit organization that focuses on providing beds and bedding to children in need. The organization was founded with the mission of ensuring that no child has to sleep on the floor and that every child has a safe and comfortable place to sleep. We organize community events where volunteers come together to build beds. These events involve constructing bed frames, procuring mattresses, and preparing bedding. Once beds are built, SHP coordinates with local agencies, schools, or social services to identify children who are in need of a bed. The organization then delivers the beds directly to these families.
