Come out Monday, October 6 from 5:30-7:00pm to the publicly offered meet and greet with current district 4 commissioner Alison Couch who is running to replace Doug Ducan as Columbia County Chair.
This is a great opportunity to inquire about the issues facing Columbia County such as the data center and how Ms. Couch plans to continue to transparently represent the citizens of Columbia County.
Please bring a handheld sign to demonstrate your views on the proposed data center in Appling, Georgia. Signs may be held but not placed in the ground or attached to any buildings or utility poles.
According to Columbia County ordinances, a permit is not required to bring a handheld sign to a public meeting that has be advertised through multiple social media accounts for an individual acting on behalf of the local government.
Please be aware that individuals attending on their own accord are not allowed block traffic, obstruct pedestrians, or use amplified sound such as microphones or speakers of any kind. Signs must be held in hand at all times and not placed into the ground or attached to any buildings or utility poles at any time. Signed with threats of violence, defamation, or obscenities may lose their protected status under Columbia County ordinance and are not permitted. Attendances are not allowed to block access to buildings or interfere with the building's intended purpose.
