The District 1 Fire Academy is 24 weeks of initial firefighter training that will include state certifications in Hazardous Material Awareness/Operations, Firefighter I/II and all state required curriculum to function as a firefighter in the state of Indiana.Participants must have fire department sponsorship and full gear with SCBA’s.
A minimum of 80% attendance throughout the Academy is required to be eligible for testing.
This class will be held on July 18, 2024, through December 19, 2024
Monday (online)/Thursday (in person) 6 PM-10 PM CST and Saturdays (8 AM-4 PM) CST
Class size is limited.
