Distorted Image returns with Volume 5 — another night built for the veterans, the dancers, the purveyors of quality electronic music and the believers in dance music club culture.
Since the beginning, our goal has been simple: to deliver a proper nightclub experience on the Sunshine Coast! — something raw, connected, and built on community. Each event is designed from the ground up to bring that energy to life. We do this for the people who are seeking connection and top tier electronic music.

Our Ethos is that Club Culture should be inclusive and yet also underground. We celebrate veteran DJs who are masters of there craft!
We bring a carefully selected group of artists from various scenes to keep you entertained from open to close:
🎧 Neil Roberts
An icon of the Sunshine Coast house scene. Neil lives and breathes dance music — his Rhythm Code events are the stuff of local legend. Expect a masterclass in groove and a deep connection to the art of DJing.

Our South African Afro and House maestro. A founding member of the Distorted Image crew and the creative mind behind our production, Negxo brings curated rhythmic energy that turns the dance floor into a pulse.

A veteran of the festival and underground techno circuit. His sets cut deep into the roots of the genre, showcasing years of experience and an unmatched ear for the sound that keeps the floor locked in.

🎧 Statik Lee
The man of steel with a foundation in the darker side of techno and hard trance. A veteran of the Sydney hard dance scene of the ’90s and a founding member of The Fourth Beat crew, his sets are relentless and full of intent.

The sultan of swing. The Isaac Hayes of our time. The dancing bear of boogie. Indillectual brings a rare vinyl set of disco and soulful cuts — a true celebration of groove that hits straight to the heart.

From the streets of Byron Bay to the floors of the underground, Andronicous delivers deep, melodic house selections with warmth and purpose. Expect groove, flow, and connection. A true Veteran Raver who connects his experience to his music.

The founder of Distorted Image and a driving force in the local underground scene. His sets are emotional journeys — crafted for the dancers, inspired by the culture, and always leaving their mark. Always giving respect to the pioneers of the scene that came before us through his ability to play timeless music.

📍 The Black Box Theatre, Nambour
An iconic old theatre covered entirely in black — a blank canvas for us to transform. Each event, we rebuild it from the ground up into a raw, intimate, Berlin-style club space. It’s become the beating heart of Distorted Image.

Our trademark wall of sound returns — precision-tuned for the Black Box Theatre to bring every layer of the music to life. If you havent witnessed our sound - you are in for a treat !
🎨 Art & Stage Design by Letgo
Our resident visual artist Mr Letgo transforms the space once again, blending street art energy with immersive visual design.
⚙️ Production by CMT Event Architects
High-end lighting and stage production that shifts the Black Box Theatre into a feast for the senses. Every event showcases a new array of spectacular visual experience.
