The Disrupt Land Forces FESTIVAL OF RESISTANCE is back again! 1-7 October in Meanjin. Expect to share art, food, culture, good company, chanting, painting, song, dance and disruptive activism all in the name of #EarthcareNotWarfare.Our goal: to make the Land Forces arms expo as difficult and uncomfortable as possible for the arms dealers while having as much fun as possible with each other.
There will be a strong focus on climate this year, since our life support systems are collapsing around us and militarism is responsible for this in every way.
We are also determined to #DisarmPolice so that they #StopKillingUs.
Arms fairs are where the deals are done that see First Nations peoples dispossessed and murdered, their forests felled, their rivers polluted, their cultures repressed. Weapons that are being made and sold in Australia are killing people from Yuendumu to Yemen. Wage Peace and our anti-militarist allies call you to come get in their way.
There will be beds for those who need them, food for everyone and a wide variety of tactics to join.
We encourage you to bring your friends, your ideas, your culture, your tools of trade and your children/parents/siblings along.
