Back by popular demand after the success of our first two meetups, we’re excited to bring the community together again in a new environment designed to spark fresh ideas and conversations.This meetup sits alongside the DISRUPT AI Film Festival (DAIFF). Australia’s first Gen AI film festival — a national platform for filmmakers, artists, technologists, and students to explore storytelling powered by AI. Anchored by the theme “Humans and Their Tools,” the festival champions human-in-the-loop creativity, where technology becomes a co-creator, not a competitor.

We’ll then shift into a dedicated conversation exploring how AI is shaping learning, teaching, and creative practice in universities. This session will unpack how students and educators are engaging with AI tools, what responsible use looks like in academic environments, and where the boundaries (and opportunities) sit as education evolves.This is your chance to ask questions, explore the grey areas, and better understand how AI is being integrated into higher education.
