DISNEY’S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR. brings the hit Disney Channel original movie to life on stage filled with catchy songs and lively dance numbers. The story begins on the first day after winter break at East High, where students quickly settle into their familiar cliques: Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians, and Skaters. Troy Bolton, the school’s star basketball captain, is surprised to discover that Gabriella, the shy but brilliant girl he met during winter break on a ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. When Troy and Gabriella choose to audition for the school musical, the decision disrupts the strict social “status quo.” Troy and Gabriella’s choice to step outside their comfort zones inspires the entire school to break free from expectations.
