About this Event
Evening discussion: Faith and Ecology (5.30pm-7pm)
How can we address global environmental issues with the faith communities around us?
This deep discussion examines the context of Bethnal Green nature reserve that has emerged from a WWII bomb site of the former St. Judes Church (1846-1940) and its relationship with communities around it today. East London has global south communities who have international connections to countries on the forefront of the environmental crises. This facilitated public discussion will ask questions about the context of Bethnal Green and how we can better engage faith communities on environmental crises facing us today and in future.
The session is led by Muzammal Hussain of Wisdom in Nature and a trustee of the Bethnal Green Nature Reserve. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
The talk will take place in a semi-covered outdoor area at Bethnal Green Nature Reserve from 5.30pm-7pm at the Bethnal Green Nature Reserve, Middleton St, Bethnal Green, London E2 9RR. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
