Are you interested in playing an RPG or longer/big box/campaign type games over several sessions? Then this could be for you.After collating some of your feedback from our survey at the start of the year we are running what we are calling a Discovery evening on the 18 of October.
We will have several heavier/campaign-type games from our own personal collections suitable for longer/multiple sessions, including Endless Winter, Rallyman, Age of Steam, Bardsung, 18 Holes, The Witcher, Undaunted and not forgetting games from our existing library, including Firefly, Scythe, Cyclades, HEAT, Dorf Romantik and more. You're free to bring your own games too if you're looking for a group to play them with.
What about RPGs? Well, we don't actually have any RPGs in the café, it's never been that kind of place, but we know from the feedback and several chats with customers that this is certainly something you're interested in. So whether it's Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cuthulu, GURPS, Star Wars, or one of the myriad of other role-playing systems, let's see what you're interested in or are looking for players for, or maybe you'd like to try something new. We would be happy to look into getting a couple of RPGs to have in the library, depending on what you wanted.
The idea behind this first session is to have a chat, get an idea of which games you'd be interested in playing, find some other people to play with and chat about the best times to run these, whether it's an evening session, or we set aside a table over the weekends - the discovery is as much for us as it is for you!
We hope to run similar 'Discovery' dates for miniatures, CCGs and other game types too as there's been quite a bit of interest in these.
This first session will be free to attend either individually or in a group.
